Last summer, my bonus son came to me wanting a job, sparking a journey that has not only shaped his career path but has also highlighted the unique value of Gigzz. At first, I didn’t push him to use Gigzz; instead, we explored traditional job platforms like Indeed. But navigating those platforms as a teen proved frustrating—most jobs didn’t fit his skills or interests. It was then I realized that Gigzz could provide exactly what teens like him need: an accessible path to meaningful work that matches their strengths and aspirations.

When he finally tried Gigzz, his journey began with a few gigs that soon led to repeat business and new opportunities. His first job was a home project—helping with a French drain. It was the perfect teen job, manageable yet valuable, and he handled it with professionalism and enthusiasm, building a great relationship with the client. She was so impressed that she expressed interest in hiring him again for future projects.

One particularly meaningful connection was with a Montessori director he met through Gigzz. She saw firsthand his reliability and dedication and later offered to be a reference for him. When he needed recommendations for a role coaching young children, a job that required strong recommendations, her endorsement was invaluable. She even noted that if he wanted more experience working with kids, she’d happily bring him in for hands-on training.

This story reflects how our platform connects teens to real-world experiences that can help shape their futures. Starting with small gigs, he’s gaining valuable references, building skills, and opening doors to new career paths. Whether he chooses to pursue a business in yard work or explore roles working with kids, Gigzz has become a launchpad, providing both the support and connections to grow and succeed. This journey isn't just about getting a job; it's about discovering new possibilities and building a foundation and connections for the future.
